1999
On March 24th 1999, Germany, ruled by a coalition government of social democrats and the green party, and its NATO allies began bombarding Yugoslavia as this was done without an UN mandate, it marked the first war aggression by Germany after 1945.
In addition to the still visible evidence of the attack such as the remains of bombed ruins, I went to Belgrade to look for more inconspicuous consequences of this war and wondered to what extent everyday motifs can depict a traumatized city caused by Germany and its NATO allies.
